Swayed into believing that the place called 'Hell' had more to offer than Heaven, Bakura allowed himself to fall around the same time as Lucifer ~~Isis~~. Secretly, he regrets it and takes his anger and frustration out on others, especially the angels.

After countless years of been one of the oldest but lowest ranking demons, Bakura decided that it was about time to do something about his current position. When the barrier was weak the Angel of Death, Yuugi, offered him his powers if he protected Jonnouchi from the angels when it broke.

How could he refuse such a power?

A few weeks later, he decided that he was bored and so broke the barrier. The screaming noise coming from it was far too annoying for him to take any longer, plus he couldn't stand how people kept talking about it.

Later, he possessed Yuugi and forced him to attack Isis in a meeting, which forced the head demon to make a decision.

Naturally, she chose Bakura.
